Our Commitment
We believe that healthcare should be accessible to everyone. Our virtual-first model already removes many physical barriers to care — and we are equally committed to removing digital barriers so that every patient can access information, book appointments, and communicate with our team.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our current accessibility efforts include:
- Semantic HTML5 structure with proper heading hierarchy
- ARIA landmarks and labels for assistive technology
- Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and interactive elements
- Keyboard-navigable interface — all functionality is accessible without a mouse
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels
- Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
- Form fields with associated labels and descriptive error messages
Known Limitations
We are actively working to improve accessibility across our site. Some areas we are currently addressing include:
- Ensuring all embedded third-party scheduling tools (Tebra) meet accessibility standards — this is partially outside our direct control
- Enhancing captions and transcripts for any video content we publish
- Ongoing review of color contrast in dynamic UI components
Technical Approach
This website is built using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript with accessibility best practices. We use ARIA roles and properties where native HTML semantics are insufficient. The site is tested with keyboard-only navigation and with common screen readers including NVDA and VoiceOver.
